While shopping for items for my unborn child, I fell in love with a cherry sleigh crib. The crib was going to be placed in my bedroom so it would match perfectly with the bedroom set I already own. However, my idea for getting one was soon shattered after I realized how expensive they are.

Luckily I was able to find one that was really affordable online. The fact that it looked expensive though was something I enjoyed. I didn’t want one that looked cheap or like I got it from a second hand store. I wanted this first bed for my child to be something really special and spectacular. Since my plans include having plenty of children in the years to come, I also wanted a crib that was going to last so that each of them could use it.

I loved the ability to get a crib that was very safe too. That of course was much more important for me than getting one that looked great. Having the benefit of both though was certainly an additional bonus. When I was shopping for a cherry sleigh crib I found that you could get them as just a crib or as one that converts into a toddler bed and regular bed.

I made up my mind to get just the basic crib. My thought was that since I was going to have many more kids, I would get plenty of use out of it in that format. I would just get my older kids new beds as they needed to move on to something else. That may not work for you but it is an option to consider.

I really do love the craftsmanship of the cherry sleigh crib. It is made from quality pine so it is going to last for a very long time. However, know in advance that you don’t want to have to move it on your own as it weighs about 108 pounds! The side railings make it very easy to get a child in and out of while protecting them from being able to climb out.

Once I made up my mind to get the cherry sleigh crib, I was on a mission to make it happen. I am glad that I shopped around online and got it for a low price. Even the shipping was low which is amazing on such an heavy item. Yet they didn’t take advantage of me that way as many other businesses would have.

Getting the cherry sleigh crib I really wanted for an affordable price brought a smile to my face. I am glad I took the time to shop around for one. I was also happy that it was delivered later on that week. I didn’t have to wait long for it to arrive. It was easy to set up just like the site said it would be. It also looks lovely and I can’t wait until that day finally arrives when I can bring my child home and place him or her in it.
